"We took a group of four 10–11 year olds to play Lunarscape: Breakdown at Escape To VR in Carlsbad, and they are still talking about it days later. The moment they ‘stepped’ onto the moon and saw Earth in the sky, they were blown away. The game is the perfect level for kids that age: the puzzles made them think and communicate, but nothing was too scary or frustrating. They loved exploring the lunar base, running around the free-roam space together, and shouting out clues when they figured something out. The staff was patient, friendly, and made sure the kids understood how everything worked before starting. As a parent, it was great to see them working as a team and having a blast without screens in their hands. We’ll definitely be back to try more games"

"I brought my niece and nephew (ages 9 and 12) to Escape To VR Carlsbad to try Lunarscape: Breakdown, and it ended up being one of the best ‘uncle days’ we’ve ever had. The setup is very professional, and the team walked us through the controls so the kids felt confident right away. Once we were inside the lunar base, it felt like we were actually on a mission in space—walking around wire-free, checking out the greenhouses, and solving puzzles together. I loved that the difficulty was kid-friendly but still engaging for me as an adult; we all had moments where we got to ‘be the hero’ and figure something out. The 30 minutes flew by, and we finished the mission with seconds to spare, cheering and high-fiving in the headsets. If you are an aunt/uncle looking for a unique activity with the kids, this is a fantastic choice."
