CARLSBAD, Calif., Aug. 21, 2026 — Escape To VR is now open in its new 5,000-square-foot location inside The Shoppes at Carlsbad at 2525 El Camino Real, Suite 161, Carlsbad, CA 92008.
The move gives Escape To VR more room for free-roam virtual reality escape rooms, multiplayer action games, birthday parties, and company events. The larger space also provides a better layout for check-in, game rotations, spectators, food, and celebrations.
“I wanted the new location to be more than just a bigger room,” said Sam, founder of Escape To VR. “We listened to what our guests needed. Families wanted more space, birthday groups needed a smoother setup, and companies needed room for larger teams. This location gives us the flexibility to make all of that work much better.”
Escape To VR offers immersive multiplayer adventures in which guests move freely through open arenas, solve puzzles, and take on challenges together. Experiences include fantasy, pirate, sci-fi, horror, and cooperative action games. The Escape To VR team guides every group before play begins, so no previous virtual reality experience is required.
The venue is on the lower level of The Shoppes at Carlsbad. Guests can use the mall’s free parking, enter through any lower-level entrance or the lower level of Macy’s, and follow mall signs to Suite 161.
“Escape To VR has always been about giving people something memorable to do together,” Sam said. “The new space lets us welcome more groups while keeping the personal, hands-on experience our guests know us for. I’m excited for people to come see what we’ve built.”
